Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of onlinepixelart.com and the image to pixel art converter on it (the “site”), run by Online Pixel Art (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using the site

The site is free to use, with no account needed, and is supported by advertising. You may use it for personal, educational and commercial projects. The converter runs in your browser, so you need a modern web browser with JavaScript enabled.

Your images and the pixel art you make

• You keep your rights. We don't receive your images and we claim no rights to them or to the pixel art you create from them.
• You can use your results freely, including commercially, with no attribution required.
• You're responsible for your source images. Only convert images you own or have permission to use. Turning an image into pixel art doesn't remove the original creator's copyright or trademark rights, or the rights of people shown in it.

Acceptable use

When using the site, please don't:

• use it to create or share content that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights;
• try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or the servers that host it;
• use bots, scripts or other means to generate artificial page views, ad impressions or ad clicks, or encourage others to click ads;
• copy the site as a whole and present it as your own, or suggest that we endorse your product without permission.

Our content

The site's design, text, logo and the Online Pixel Art name belong to us. You're welcome to link to the site and to share screenshots of it.

Third-party palettes and names

Palettes imported from Lospec are created by members of its community and are fetched directly from Lospec, whose own terms apply. Names of retro systems and games, such as Game Boy, PICO-8 and Commodore 64, are trademarks of their respective owners. They're used only to describe a palette's colors and don't imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Advertising and third-party services

The site shows ads served by Google AdSense and its partners, and uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. We don't choose the individual ads you see, and showing an ad isn't an endorsement of the advertiser or what they offer. Any dealings you have with an advertiser, including purchases, are between you and that advertiser.

Links to other websites, including ads, are provided for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

No warranty

We work hard to make the converter reliable, but the site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, or that its results will suit your purpose. Please keep your own copies of your original images.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.

Changes

We may change, add or remove features of the site, or stop offering it, at any time. We may also update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy

How we handle information, including the cookies used for analytics and advertising, is described in our privacy policy. Your images never leave your device.
